(2/6-3/18) Not sure if you’ve heard but there is this little musical called Hamilton in town. The show premiered earlier this week and Seattle can’t stop talking about it. Well, we can’t stop talking about the ticket prices more than the show itself. There are tickets still left in the $240-$1,150 range, but there is also a lottery happening for $10 tickets. MUST CELEBRATE
Lunar New Year Celebration
(2/11) Venues across Seattle’s Chinatown-International District host traditional displays, including taiko drumming, dragon dances and martial arts performances. Ain’t Misbehavin’
(2/9-3/4) Grab your fedora and be transported back to New York City in the 1930s. Seattle Musical Theatre is presenting Ain’t Misbehavin’, a Thomas “Fats” Waller musical, celebrating black musicians and the Harlem Renaissance of the 1930s. With more than 30 tunes, we can’t imagine sitting still during this lively swing and jazz performance. Times vary. $20-$40. Northwest Flower & Garden Show
(2/7-2/11) With all the grey skies, seeing some flowers (or color) would probably do all of us some good. The Northwest Flower & Garden Show is in its 29th year and just keeps getting bigger and better. Peruse more than 20 Show Gardens, attend free horticulture seminars, or just pick up a plant to brighten up your desk or coffee table. There’s something for everyone, including a treasure hunt for the little ones to keep them occupied. Times and prices vary. Chocofest
(2/11) Looking for an early Valentine’s Day date night? Pike Place Brewing is hosting an evening of beer, chocolate, and savory bites. Enjoy live music while sipping on brews from Pike Brewing, Naked City, Ghostfish Brewing and many more. And of course, there is chocolate and sweets from local favorites such as Fran’s, Chukar Cherries and Theo.
