(11/7 to 11/16, times vary) PNB’s Peter Boal marks 10 seasons as artistic director this year, and there’s no better way to celebrate than to attend the annual Director’s Choice showcase, in which Boal presents the thoroughly modern, minimalist duet “Before After,” and hotshot New York City Ballet choreographer Justin Peck brings a world premiere to the Seattle stage.

Starts Monday (11/10) After a seven-year hiatus, the Poetry on buses program is back, showcasing work by 125 citizen poets inside RapidRide buses. (Regular riders, don’t fret–all 365 selected poems will be posted on the program website.) Poems will be livening up commutes for the next year.
