Throwback with Vintage Seafair Photos
(8/2 to 8/3, times vary) — Seattle’s events-filled summer festival culminates this weekend with the Blue Angels air show, hydroplane boat races along Lake Washington, SalmonFest and plenty more to keep you busy. In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, we dove into the Seattle Municipal Archives to find some vintage snapshots from Seafairs past.

Traipse the South Lake Union Art Walk
Friday, (8/1, times vary) — South Lake Union is suddenly filling up with art, from the new hamper sculpture by Whiting Tennis (“The Laundry Strike”) to the Mad Art Space, which unveils an immense new sculpture by John Grade this month, and the Seattle Storefronts installations in the windows of the Amazon buildings. See it all during the neighborhood’s Art Walk.
