Shop Talk: Le Objects Closing, Drygoods Moving

The latest in Seattle retail news

We’re sad to report that after nearly three years of giving us some lovely home wares to shop (and inspiring in-the-window designs to marvel at), Tim de Clue has decided to close his Georgetown shop Le Objects for the Home (1226 S Bailey; 206.604.4958). There will be great deals (such as 40 percent-off most inventory) to be had at the close-out sale that’s going on now.

On the happy side, the owners of Drygoods Design have outgrown their Ballard space (5308 Ballard Ave. NW; 206.535.6950) and so are relocating to Pioneer Square’s Occidental Mall (301 Occidental Ave. S) at the end of August, with a grand-opening bash on September 5th. The bigger venue means extended hours and more types of crafting classes, such as hand-lettering and dyeing. (FYI: All classes scheduled through August 24th will be at the Ballard location.) Drygoods will take part in the Ballard Sidewalk Sale, which starts tomorrow, 7/24, and runs through 7/27.
