Remember When the Seahawks Won the Super Bowl?

Seattle’s World Cup run is over. Let’s look back at another moment that had the whole city cheering.

For the past few weeks, the World Cup gave Seattle plenty to cheer about. But remember February?

The Seahawks gave Seattle more than a championship; they gave us each other. In living rooms and crowded bars, in offices and cafés, strangers became family in a single shared roar. Blue and green flickered in windows and on bodies, a signal fire of belief. This victory belongs to the 12s who never stopped believing through the rebuilding years and the heartbreak.

It also belongs to Paul Allen, whose audacious faith kept this team rooted in the Northwest. He believed a small, rainy corner of the country could dream big and in color. This Lombardi feels like a love letter to that vision—to community, to resilience, to Seattle itself.

To our Seattle Seahawks, the 2026 Super Bowl LX champions! Your win brought us together and made us proud to be 12s.

The Seattle Mariners host “Bark at the Park” several times each season at T-Mobile Park, and if you haven’t been, you’re missing out on a high dose…

Why I Built a Pickleball Club With My Daughter

Why I Built a Pickleball Club With My Daughter

My father showed me how to turn my love of sports into something lasting. Pickle at the Palms carries that lesson forward.

Looking back, I wouldn’t say my family teaming up to launch Pickle at the Palms—a new 20-court indoor pickleball club—was inevitable, but it may have been predictable. Sports have shaped my life for more than 50 years. I fell in love with rowing as a 17-year-old college freshman and went on to compete on two…

How Seattle’s World Cup Is Centering Coast Salish Culture

As Seattle hosts six matches, the Puyallup Tribe is bringing Lushootseed language and Coast Salish culture to soccer’s global stage.

World Cup 26 has brought Seattle plenty of noise: marches to the stadium, packed watch parties, and fans from Australia, Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and across the United States. Amid the flags and football frenzy, another kind of welcome is taking shape, a consistent thread honoring the Indigenous heritage of this city and state. During…

Cascade Bicycle Studio Built a Business Around the Perfect Fit

Cascade Bicycle Studio Built a Business Around the Perfect Fit

For 20 years, the Fremont shop has offered a highly customized—and client-retaining—consumer experience.

Walking into Cascade Bicycle Studio feels more like stepping into a showroom than a bike shop. In the background are the usual inner workings of a craft-based space: mechanics cranking away, adjusting shafts and stems, tinkering with bicycle parts, and getting their hands good and greasy. On a recent visit, however, when I entered the…
