The spirit of the Renaissance hangs like gossamer on Tamara Codor’s art and furnishings, the legacy of time spent studying classical painting in the Loire Valley in her late teens. With business partner and furniture maker Sterling Voss, Codor creates decorative works, such as mirrors that reimagine 17th-century antiques (as seen in Bar Sajor) and painted panels.

Painted on hard artist board and canvas, the panels vary from abstract to trompe l’oeil, from a single vertical piece to elaborate murals spanning entire walls. “Everything in the room, from the couch to the walls, is incorporated into the final composition,” Codor explains, “to ensure the whole living environment is artistic.” Pioneer Square, 114 Alaskan Way S, Suite 301; 206.265.9836; codordesign.com
