Grilled Cheese Grand Prix
(11/17-11/18) A spin-off of the Seattle Street Food Festival, the Grilled Cheese Grand Prix is a brand-new event from the creator of the Taco Libre Showdown and Seattle Outdoor Cinema. More than a dozen food trucks and booths will compete for the title of best grilled cheese, joined by numerous local breweries, wineries, and other purveyors like Tillamook Cheese and Seattle Pickle Co., which is part of (dare we say) Seattle’s thriving pickling scene. Regular and VIP tickets are good for one of the three cheesy sessions and include 10-15 tokens for drink tasters. Food purchased separately. Times and prices vary. Washington Distillers Festival
(11/18) The Washington Distillers Festival happens this Saturday at McMenamins Anderson School location, a Bothell junior high school that the brewery chain renovated into an entertainment complex. The booze fest includes more than 20 distilleries, such as Woodinville Whiskey Co., XO Alambic, and Heritage Distilling, which is set to open its new Roslyn tasting room the same day.
