These pumpkins make people happy. Maybe it’s the joy we remember as kids picking out a pumpkin, or maybe it’s the beauty of the way the light travels through our transparent colors. Not only are they beautiful, but are locally made with lots of love,” explains Jeannine Sigafoos of Tacoma Glassblowing Studio (Tacoma, 114 S 23rd St.; 253.383.3499; tacomaglassblowing.com) about the studio’s beloved annual glass pumpkin patch installations around the region.

Upcoming glass pumpkin patches are on view from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations (admission is free, and all gourds are for sale):

10/7 Northwest Arts Center, Bellevue, 9825 NE 24th St.; 425.452.4106
10/14 Pickering Barn, Issaquah, 1730 10th Ave. NW; 425.837.3321
