The thing about Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival is that it’s so darn cozy. The folks at Artist Home put together a lineup of some of the Northwest’s best musicians – this year that list includes Grace Love and the True Loves, Industrial Revelation, Mindie Lind, Iska Dhaaf and many more – and pair the music with a snowy Bavarian village and hot toddies.

I had the good fortune of heading up to Leavenworth for Timbrrr! two years ago and spent the weekend with friends in a cabin, cooking meals, playing the piano and heading to the festivities to see bands like the Moondoggies, Telekenisis and Hey Marseilles. The whole weekend was festive and that sort of warmth that makes your heart feel good.

On January 29 and 30, it’s all happening again. The lineup is stellar, the village will be welcoming and the event will, again, be top notch. To prepare yourself, check out some videos for the bands here:

And when brunches, complete with singing and dancing queens dressed in dazzling drag as you sipped mimosas, weren’t a Sunday staple.  During the 1940s and ‘50s, an era largely shaped by restrictive laws and bias…
